I would like the videos I’ve made express how I feel about Jet Echo’s music rather than anything I might write here. The images in the different videos include screaming high-speed trains, close-up zooms of lighthouses, mountains on fire, ocean storms, bacteria, distorted images sampled from TV ... let me just say Jet Echo’s music evokes, invokes, and provokes. I met Jet Echo (drummer/percussionist Ripley and bassist Al) in 2005 at a rooftop barbecue in Seoul. This meeting led to me doing live visuals for them on 4 or 5 occasions in late 2005 and early 2006, and then simply filming them on a few occasions more. Finally, this has led to me doing several videos for them. It’s been exciting to know them and be around the Seoul underground scene which they have contributed so much to. In late 2006, they toured China and Japan. The groundswell around them grows.
