Here, the desktop of Mac OS X replaces music video software. I found this video at TUAW.
A very cool video for the Mac-user geek. Very creative use of the mac. The video was done by Dennis Liu.
I’m not sure how he recorded the screenshots. But if you want to do something similar, I recommend a program for Mac OS X called Snapz, which does video screenshots.
This video for Bjork’s “Wanderlust” is so awesome. Here, on the New York Times websites, she and the directing team, Encyclopedia Pictura, talk about the video:
Here’s the text that came with the video:”I was interested in the motion of foreground (scratched window) midground (passing girders) and background (Skyline) and how that might relate to individual sounds in a piece of music. The music is from Autechre.”

Don’t know anything about the band, nor the video director, who is Whitey McConnaughy — but what I like is the video concept. I like this portable stage that they’ve made for the band. Skip ahead to the end of the video and check out this portable stage set up in all kinds of empty areas of Portland, late at night. Wish I had a set-up like that, but I don’t know where I’d put it.
I googled the video and found this article which says more about the making of it.
Bjork caused some controversy at her recent Shanghai concert, ending her set with a call of “Tibet, Tibet” at the end of the song “Declare Independence.” The video directed by Michel Gondry is embedded below. Here’s the article from CNN.
