I made this in late February 2007, three weeks after beginning a new life in Kamloops, BC, Canada. The video was submitted for a video contest at the Kamloops Art Gallery with the theme, “The Place Where I Live.” It subsequently won the contest.

Bangkok - film from 2002, strobing light photos (taken by Seafran in 2006). Video edited by DoAn Forest. Music produced by Seafran (www.myspace.com/seafran)
Goldtea enters the dangerous game of life. The perils are manifold. The stakes couldn’t be higher.
About the Video: I filmed this in my apartment against a white wall. Sure would have been easier to edit if I had had a bluescreen. I ended up finishing the video using less than half the song.
When I’m snorkeling, I love that shift in view when you break the surface of the water, going from water to air, or air to water. I love swimming underwater facing up to the sky, seeing the clouds warped by the water. This video is really nothing more than a play with these fascinations. The music is provided by Seafran (check his music at myspace.com/seafran). The video is by DoAn Forest. (forest.efeele.com)
Set to the music of Seafran’s “Irie Days,” this is a video recap of Flowfest 2006, which took place in Gangchon, South Korea. The video combines photos and various filming techniques like filming projected images on moving things and underwater filming. Links: myspace.com/seafran/flowfest.compaulkotyk.com

A photo remix by DoAn Forest. Original photo series by Youki Cropas. Birds fly from Istanbul, Turkey to Seoul, Korea. Along the way, they interfere with the signals of lovelorned Chinese, Korean TV models, and Russian wrestlers. All set a soundtrack that only Bulgakov’s devil would recognize.
